Paul’s Chicago Pizza

I love pizza (probably due to the all of the cheese). Over the past few years I’ve moved on from the fast food delivery type pizza, to searching for more of the local, joint type pizza places with that great authentic New York or Chicago style pizza. When J. and I moved over to the Clearwater area, we stumbled across Paul’s Chicago Pizza on McMullen Booth which has quickly become a main staple of our diet.

J.’s family is from Chicago and loves an authentic Chicago style pizza and they give their stamp of approval on this place. It’s just a small little joint with a handful of booths and tables. They are known for their thin crust pizza, but also serve stuffed pizza, plenty of appetizers, hot sandwiches, hot dogs, and beer.

Last night, J. and I ordered a large cheese thin crust pizza and wings. The wings were dry rubbed with Cajun seasoning and cooked to perfection with a nice crisp skin. The pizza here, is addictive. A sweeter based tomato sauce is topped with the perfect amount of fresh cheese and cooked until the crust is until well done and you can hear that “snap” when you break it. I can easily eat half a pizza in one sitting (no shame!) because it’s really just that delicious.

Whether eating in, or ordering for take out, I absolutely recommend checking out Paul’s Chicago Pizza for your next Friday night movie (or any night!) meal.

Until next time!
